The Shadow Wolf is a Seeker. Its very nearness is a warning: if the Wolf has found you, the others will not be far behind.
The Shadow Wolf walks alone. Unlike other Seekers, it does not delight in obedience, nor does it bow easily to the greater shadows that send it prowling after children of light. It follows because it must, not because it wishes to serve.
Its skill at tracking is imperfect—others hunt more swiftly, more surely—but what the Wolf lacks in precision, it makes up for in dread. Tall, dark, and imposing, it moves with a slow, deliberate gait, letting its prey feel the weight of its approach. The Wolf intimidates rather than hides; it prefers to be seen, to let fear take root in the hearts it shadows.
It has no eyes, yet those who sense it nearby swear the darkness itself is watching. Its growl rumbles like stone grinding against stone. Children touched by its aura often find themselves followed by misfortune, as if the shadow had marked them for ill fate.
